Wooden Rune Sets

To find the material for each new Rune Set I take a long walk in the woods, until I feel myself pulled towards an area, where I usually find the material for my next project. Each Rune Set is lovingly crafted with fallen branches, you will never see me cut down a tree for its branches as I consider that too destructive for my craft.

Once I bring the material home, I leave it to dry out for about a month, after which I cut the branches into small disks, making sure to keep each species of tree separate. I then proceed to carefully sand each disk by hand on both sides until I obtain a glass like finish. Once this step done, I can finally burn the runes on each of the disks, one set at a time.

Every Rune Set is sold with a free drawstring felt pouch and our small booklet giving a brief description of each rune and how to use them.

I use the Elder Futhark to make the sets you see below, without the blank or "Wyrd" rune in them, as is traditional.

Please note: each item is unique and will not look exactly alike ~ this is the beauty of using a natural substance such as Wood.
